At the southern edge of the Dead Sea sits the Masada fortress on Table Mountain. It is a significant symbol of the founding myth of Israel. Iranian Director Jafar Panahi’s fourth completed feature since he was officially banned from filmmaking is one of his very best. Love and Hate

Dr. Hind returns from the US along her little daughter, she goes to her ex Ahmed in his apartment and sleeps with him then confessed to him that she has AIDS causing him to freak out and he decides to seek the help of a doctor, as well as report her. Newspapers warn citizens about Hind and she is arrested and placed in a hospital along Ahmed. The leader of a gang decides to use her in killing one of his agents by transferring the virus to him and so his men smuggle them out of the hospital. After the gang kills Ahmed and kidnaps her parents, Hind gives in, yet she eventually tells the police, turns herself in and exposes the gang.

You Resemble Me

Sameh loses his eyesight while working so the doctors advise him to be treated abroad, his wife Salwa goes to the director of the company, the secretary of the director zizi mediates between the director and Salwa and persuaded him to help Salwa and in return Salwa would pay by making love to the director, she submits to him in exchange for his signature on the travel papers needed for her husband to be treated, Sameh is healed and returns, meanwhile the director is extorting Salwa making use of a photo of her he took when she was with him, zizi’s conscience is awaken when she knew about the director’s intentions towards Salwa, so she tried to steal the photo from him, he tried to stop her as a result she killed him to allow the married couple to complete their life together.
