Hardwired

Devour the addictive #1 NYT series that's sold over a million copies worldwide about a bad boy hacker billionaire and the whip-smart woman he can't resist.

Determined to overcome a difficult past, Erica Hathaway learns early on how to make it on her own. Days after her college graduation she finds herself face to face with a panel of investors who will make or break her fledgling startup. The only thing she didn't prepare for was going weak in the knees over an arrogant and gorgeous investor who's seemingly determined to derail her presentation.

Billionaire and rumored hacker Blake Landon has already made his fortune in software, and he's used to getting what he wants with very little resistance. Captivated by Erica's drive and unassuming beauty, he's wanted nothing more since she stepped into his boardroom. Determined to win her over, he breaks down her defenses and fights for her trust, even if that means sacrificing a level of control he's grown accustomed to.

But when Blake uncovers a dark secret from Erica's past, he threatens not just her trust, but the life she's fought so hard to create.

  • Storyline versus easy women

The storyline is amazing. I love how strong will to some extent Erica is and I like that Blake is shrewd businessman man. However I feel like Erica fell into bed with him too quickly. I felt like she could have put up a fight a little more. I mean the way the Author describes Blake seems like he’s very handsome. However his controlling nature had given me red flags. The fact that he took liberties with Erica without her permission and the fact that Erica is SA survivor I think he should have triggered her. However she in the past initiated sex. It was in her terms but when he pushed her against the wall and kissed her. She should have had some kind of negative reaction. Erica has not worked through what happened to her. She blamed herself and in my opinion her response lacked credibility especially with the things Blake like to sexually. Being bound realistically should have triggered her really bad.

  • Excellent start to this series

This is an excellent start to this series. This story will draw you in with its ups and downs. It will keep you guessing when "the other shoe will drop." Erica is complex. Blake is controlling. Together sparks fly.
