Break My Fall

*****Warning Explicit Content. Suitable for 17+*****

"I was drunk but not drunk enough not to notice him. Good Lord, he was beautiful. Did boys like him really exist? I thought I might be imagining him. "You wanna take a shot with me sweetheart?" He smiled crookedly and lifted the bottle up. The huskiness of his voice made me him sound dangerous, yet he was soft spoken...An enigma."

Eighteen year old Lee Bennett is broken, and running from the secrets of her past that seem hell bent on tearing her apart.

When she arrives at childhood friend Cam's doorstep, she hopes to find comfort, closure. The last person she expected to meet is Kyle Carter.

Kyle is everything Lee's been warned to stay away from, yet everything she's drawn to. His boldness, flirtatious nature and jaw dropping good looks have Lee's head in a spin and she cant seem to stay away.
But the secrets of her past still haunt her, which makes her attraction to Kyle all the more scary...

Kyle Carter can't keep his eyes off his hot new roommate, or his hands. Lee is fresh, innocent, and everything Kyle knows he can't have. But that doesn't stop him from wanting her. The pressure of living together combined with their sizzling chemistry fuels an unstoppable liaison.

Both know they shouldn't be together, yet can't bear to be apart. They fall into a twisted affair of love, passion and deceit. Kyle's on/off girlfriend Rachel has a hold over Kyle. She holds a dark secret of his past over him that threatens to tear apart his relationship with Lee; the first girl he has ever cared about.

"That's impossible," he whispered. Tears fell from my eyes and I nodded in gloomy acceptance; Kyle wanted me out of his life. His hands cupped my face gently, forcing me to look at him. "There's no f*****g way you could EVER be invisible to me baby."

Lies, deceit, passion and first love fuel together in their tumultuous relationship.

Can Kyle break free from the bonds that hold him to Rachel? Can Lee forgive the indiscretion and lies. And will Kyle Carter be the man who can break her fall?

  • Don’t read if you value your sanity

I absolutely love the boys of tommen series so I decided to read more Chloe Walsh books. WORSE DECISION EVER. I only read the first book in this series and i’m definitely not reading more. To begin, this book has no plot whatsoever. Every time the mmc and fmc get together they have to break apart bc of owd. That’s what happens the whole book. *ending spoilers!!!!* And just knowing it ends with accidental pregnancy🤢, made not want to finish the series anyways. Also the miscommunication in here made me want to rip my hair out. Good for you if you liked this book but it’s not for me.

  • Skip it.

    1. Proofread 2. Proofread 3. Proofread There were so many times I caught myself wondering why I was reading the is complete crap. If you’re clueless and young you might enjoy but Jesus God. So ridiculous.

  • Toxic Relationship

As much as I wanted to love this book, I kept getting swept into how volatile this relationship was/is. Sure it’s a love story, but at what cost to Lee’s sanity and safety. Giving endless chances to a man who acts closely to her abusive father is sad to write as romantic.

  • Loved storyline but the EDITING is terrible

This is the second time I’ve read this book. The story of Lee and Kyle is really good. The twists and turns of their relationship keep you very interested. I wish there was two rating systems. One for the actual storyline and one for the editor/editing. I gave four stars because the editing in this book is awful! There are words repeated in a sentence where they shouldn’t be. There are pronouns that aren’t correct for the person stating their point of view. Some sentences are simply missing words. If you have a computer editing program it would catch some of these issues but not if the word is spelled correctly but actually the wrong word used. I think the editor should actually read the book and do the work. If you’re okay reading a book with a really good story to tell but terrible editing then this story will work for you. The editing does not improve through the series but the series is very good.
