Endless Knight

Endless Knight

In this seductive follow-up to Poison Princess, #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole takes us deeper into the dark world of the Arcana Chronicles.

Evie has fully come into her powers as the tarot Empress. And Jack was there to see it all. In the aftermath of killing Arthur, Evie realizes that there is a war brewing between the teens who’ve been given powers following the apocalypse, and it’s kill or be killed. When Evie meets Death, the gorgeous and dangerous Endless Knight, things get even more complicated. Somehow the Empress and Death share a romantic history. One that Evie can’t remember, but Death can’t forget. Evie is drawn to Death, but in love with Jack. She is determined to discover why she’s been granted these powers, and in the process, struggles to accept her place in the prophecy that will either save the world, or destroy it.

  • Am I team… Death?!

OKAY. I was not emotionally prepared for all of the BOMBS dropped during this book! The true meaning of mind blown.. but, we’ll get to that. *** SPOILERS AHEAD - Proceed with caution *** Number 1… Evie finding out that Jack killed her mother?! Number 2… That Matthew knew?! Number 3… That Evie and Aric (Death - side note I love his name) were freaking married?! I absolutely love how Kresley Cole weaves her stories together… how so many little snippets of facts/past lives/individual character stories all lead into one major, magical story telling. Who you think is bad isn’t necessarily bad, who you think might be good might not necessarily be good and it keeps you on your toes, wanting more! I have to say as well, I love catching her expertly placed movie references too! I definitely felt like there was going to be a huge history with Death and Evie.. I mean he was gunning for her from the start so I knew there had to be! On the night when Evie walks off with Jack and she gives him her virginity and Matthew says “he won’t like that” I had a feeling he was talking about Death and I was right! I was instantly hooked and wanted more of their back story, and we totally got it! My heart just aches for Death too.. he didn’t choose this way of life, and his loneliness and sadness just breaks my heart and I want him to have his happy ending. I totally fall for males like him and Kresley is an expert at writing them. I can’t wait for more. This series continues to draw me in… it’s just so good. Onto book 3…. Im anxiously awaiting Evie and Jack’s reunion, eeeek!

  • Best ever! Must read!

This is my favorite series of all time! I'm currently reading it for a second time, which I've never done before with any other books. I should mention I'm not a young adult....I'm 48 years old! However, while I taught in older grades (kindergarten right now), I found that books written for kids 10 years old to young adult all have to be interesting from the very beginning, have well developed, likable characters, plenty of action...Plus, some mystery and suspense This does all that, as well as some romance for the targeted audience. I love the unpredictable story so much that I actually grieve each book when I'm finished. Love, Love, LOVE them!
