Silken Prey

Silken Prey

Murder. Scandal. Politics. And one billionaire heiress so dangerous in so many ways.

An explosive Lucas Davenport thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author John Sandford.

All hell has broken loose in the capital. An influential state senator has been caught with something very, very nasty on his office computer. The governor can’t believe it—the senator’s way too smart for that, even if he is from the other party. Something’s not right.

As Davenport investigates, the trail leads to a political fixer who has disappeared, then—troublingly—to the Minneapolis police department itself, and most unsettling of all, to a woman who could give Machiavelli lessons in manipulation. She has very definite ideas about the way the world should work—along with the money, ruthlessness, and cold-blooded will to make it happen.

Talk about redundancy! I mean how many times can you tell the same thing over and over like the reader is dense! I guess it’s just about filling up pages? What a milk job this was…slow and repetitive..and no closure on anything. Shame on you sir!

  • Tell the story

Interesting story - if he would only tell it without his liberal, left wing crap. There are very few authors that know how to simply tell a story. This is why I spend hours in a bookstore trying to find fiction doesn't preach their "progressive" ideologies to me.

  • 5 stars!

Love all the prey books and John Sandford never disappoints. Go in order and start with the first (Rules of Prey) if you want to read this one. One of the best things about these books is 'growing' with the characters and Sandford does an amazing job of giving thoughtful and solid insight to the characters' lives.

Sandford does it again. I've read every one of the series. This one is just excellent. Now I have to wait for another. Keep it going please! The flowers books are good too.
