Edie Wecker returned to her hometown of Shadows Landing after her husband was killed in action. The small town of Shadows Landing had become like family, helping her put the pieces of her life back together. I love Shadow Landing, their pirate town history. Edie lost her husband, who was killed by a traitor during war. It’s been three years and she is tired of grieving and everyone looking at her like poor Edie. She goes on vacation with her brother and his wife in Europe and she meets Tristian. Unbeknown to her he is an assassin, for his government. He also has an assignment to kill an innocent American but he refuses to do so, leading to a whole lot of things. If you like KB’s books this one will be no different, humor, exciting, drama and romance.

Edie’s been through a lot by losing her husband by war, then have him kill by and ex-friend. Although she has her brother, love is needed.
