I never thought of myself as dad material.
Until my one-night stand showed up in my small Alaskan town five months pregnant.

I love Fisher and Allie’s story! Fisher is so closed off in the beginning and his journey to opening up to the possibility of love is a fun ride. Allie is such a perfect foil to him. It is great to watch how them navigate a tense situation of figuring out how to co parent. Then to watch the love blossom. I always love the meddling grannies. It is always funny to visit the Northern Lights Retirement home for the shenanigans they get up to in the name of true love!

We already knew from the beginning that Allie is pregnant and Fisher is the daddy. I don’t know about you; but I love a good surprise baby book. Allie and Fisher are such amazing characters and each of them have qualities and vulnerabilities that make them so relatable. Fisher is fiercely protective of Allie and their unborn child and wants to do everything in his power to protect them. Allie doesn’t want Fisher to take care of her, she can take care of herself. Besides, she’s waiting for her Prince Charming, not the grumpy town sheriff with tattoos and a permanent frown on his face. However, after spending a lot of time together at doctors appointments and activities for the first time parents, maybe they realize they’re not so wrong for each other after all. Fisher is my favorite Greene so far! He’s a sheriff, he’s got tattoos, and he’s caveman protective over his girl and his child. Swoon. You’ll really enjoy this book, and if you’re anything like me, you’ll rush to finish it and then be sad when it’s over! Enjoy!
