A Court of Thorns and Roses

A Court of Thorns and Roses

The sexy, action-packed first book in the #1 New York Times bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series from Sarah J. Maas.

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.

At least, he's not a beast all the time.

As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it, or doom Tamlin-and his world-forever.

From bestselling author Sarah J. Maas comes a seductive, breathtaking book that blends romance, adventure, and faerie lore into an unforgettable read.

  • It’s okay

Decent enough plot I really liked the moral imperfections of the characters would have loved more depth in the spicy scenes. Overall very simple and an easy read with enough complexity to be interesting

  • My first Sarah J Mass book!

Loved everything about this! From the beginning to end it was so captivating and suppressed every thing I have ever imagined a good fantasy story being! It was straight from a dream!

  • Nice read

It took me a while to read it since I got caught up, but in the end I liked the twists.

  • Stilted writing

Confusing use of words and repetitive.

  • One of the best books I have read in a while

Don’t walk, run to push the purchase button. This book started slow and to be honest I was not sure what the hype was. I forced myself to get through the first ten chapters or so and then I could not put it down. I promise you won’t regret purchasing. I cannot wait to read book 2!
