A Love Song for Rebels

A Love Song for Rebels

Tyler didn't set out to break my heart…

But life doesn't give marks for good intentions.

Now, I'll stop at nothing to achieve my dreams. I'm done playing by anyone else's rules.

But when Tyler shows up in the last place I expect, with secrets and a confession…

There will be a reckoning.

Because the naive girl he shattered is gone.

And the woman in her place is ready for a fight.

A Love Song for Rebels is Book 2 in the angsty new adult, academy-inspired Rivals trilogy and should be read following A Love Song for Liars (Rivals #1).

Book 2 in Piper Lawsons Rivals series. We are back with one of my favorite couples Tyler and Annie. The angst in this book is heart ripping. There are moments that make your heart jump with joy but their relationship is put through the wringer. I just love being back with them and going thorough all the emotions with them. This is the second in a four book series so we are left on a gutting cliffhanger - but I just know that Piper won’t do us wrong with book three and I am looking forward to them getting their HEA. I love all the connecting relationships too. I have read other series of Piper’s that Tyler and Annie were in so it is nice to see their origin but then be like, hey I know them and what they are now up to too.

  • Love Annie & Tyler!!

I have absolutely adored this series!!! I have been blown away by Annie and Tyler and Piper Lawson's beautiful writing. You must read book 1, A Love Song for Liar first! Rebels picks up about a year later from where Liars ended, Annie and Tyler are both attending a performing arts college in New York. I loved Annie not instantly forgiving Tyler even though she is drawn to him and the chemistry is still strong. I appreciated the character growth in book 2 and Tyler having to prove himself. Annie and Tyler discover they are most content when they are in each other lives. Rekindling their relationship and really shining together made me so happy. Wonderful and intriguing side characters, I hope there will be more of Beck and Rae in the future plus, I truly need Jax Jamieson to be redeemed and to come around with supporting Annie and Tyler's relationship. Fingers crossed the next two books deliver!! This ended on a huge anticipated cliffhanger, can't wait to continue the next book, as the series is complete. Narrators - Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro - crushed it again with fantastic narrations and really brought out the emotions of Annie and Tyler.

This was a slow burn that darn brought me to my knees. I didn’t want Tyler and Annie to part ways and it totally gutted me at the end of A Love Song for Liars. I didn’t want them apart but Tyler made a decision that I wanted to kick his butt for. I loved that Annie took her emotions and put it into doing what she loved and that she wasn’t letting anything or anyone get in her way. It took awhile for them to both get on the same page and though the tension build up was frustrating me, I’m glad they took their time getting to know one another again. It was glorious but again Piper left us with a twist at the end! I can’t wait to see what happens next.
