Inevitable (Carter Kids #5)

Inevitable (Carter Kids #5)

If two people are meant to be together, eventually they will find their way back to each other. It's a prerequisite of love. It's inevitable...right?
Then why does it feel so wrong?
I made a promise to him a long time ago, and I plan to keep it.
But he is right there, dark, dangerous, and willing, and I want him.
I know he's bad for me, a criminal, a killer. All wrong, wrong, wrong...
But wrong never looked so tempting.

It's Hope Carter's turn to speak in Inevitable, the sixth installment of the bestselling Carter Kids series.

Please note that some scenes in this book may be extremely upsetting for some readers. Due to its explicit content, bad language, violent and graphic sexual content, Inevitable is recommended for readers of eighteen years and above.

  • Why would she write this?

I’m so confused with this entire book and truthfully had such a hard time stomaching how hope was treating Jordan after everything he went through. Why would someone write that story line for Jordan’s character and be okay with taking the story the direction she did? I love Chloe Walsh and her writing but this book and story line was a HUGE no no for me. Jordan as a character deserved better

I believe this is even better than the last book! It just keeps getting better and better. Can’t wait for the next one. I hope it’s soon cause my fingers are itching to read.

  • Phenomenal!!

I'm pretty sure I say this about every single book that Chloe Walsh writes, but this was PERFECTION! This author holds the title for Queen of Angst and always leaving her readers wanting more. Entertainment, drama, suspense, passion and all of those other emotions every reader loves to experience? She's definitely got it. Inevitable is the 6th book in the Carter Kids series, which is a spin-off of the Broken series with Kyle and Lee, so to fully enjoy this book you need to go all the way back to the beginning to Thirteenth Street and read in order. So, on to my review. I don't even know what I could possibly say without spoiling because this was HUGE! The massive love triangle between Hope, Jordan and Lucky. Who does she choose? Does she even choose any of them? I can't tell you that... What I can tell you was that my stomach was constantly doing flips and my heart was lodged in my throat through the entire book! It was gut-wrenching and soul-crushing, yet beautiful and heart-melting at the same time. There was so much depth into the emotions of these characters and I could feel the author pour her heart and soul into every single page. The amount of vulnerability and inner turmoil was very raw and real. It was intense, dramatic and suspenseful, but also had its lighter moments where I was laughing so hard that I had to go back and reread those parts, just to laugh all over again. And of course, it's not a true Chloe Walsh book unless there's a *gasp!* cliffhanger, but so much happens with these characters and everyone around them that it's just unavoidable. Besides, it just means it's not over and I don't have to say my goodbyes just yet. But I will be waiting patiently for the next installment to Hope's story because every single book is worth so much more than the wait.

I love all of Chloe’s books but this one just seemed to drag on. Hopes indecisiveness was getting annoying to be honest and then the ending had me even more annoyed. It was a good book but not one of her best
